Job summary

Versova is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to inspect, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across our industrial facilities. The role emphasizes safety, code compliance, and reliability to support continuous production and uptime.

The successful candidate will diagnose issues, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance while collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams. On-call availability may be required to address after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of journeyman-level electrical experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and code compliance.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, controls, and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with national, state, and local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Use power construction equipment, hand tools, testing devices, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure completed work passes required inspections.
• Follow lockout/tagout, PPE, and other safety procedures at all times.
• Document work performed, materials used, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams as needed.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues, including after-hours support when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
