Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking an Electrician to support preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the Sterling Heights facility. You will work with motors, transformers, switches, and control panels to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently.

The position requires reading blueprints and layouts, performing diagnostics, and replacing defective parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 4 years of combined experience and training similar to an apprenticeship as an Electrician, or DOL Certificate as Electrician, or eight years of documented Electrician experience, or five years plus three years in related trade.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime, including daily, weekends and holidays.
• Experience as Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.
• Electrical experience supporting manufacturing operations including knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Ability to locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
• Experience in preventative maintenance including replacing broken or defective parts in equipment or machines, electrical equipment and tooling.
• Documentation verifying DOL apprenticeship or equivalent and manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, layout, install and repair electrical equipment and power/lighting systems in the facility.
• Test and modify electrical machinery and control equipment; assemble and test motor-controlled devices, switch panels, transformers, and generator windings.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and diagnose causes of electrical malfunction.
• Complete incidental tasks to support larger projects.
