Job summary

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. seeks an experienced electrician to maintain, repair, and construct electrical systems in asphalt and aggregate plants. The role requires leading crews, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting motors and medium voltage equipment in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include project management, design input, and periodic night/weekend hours. MSHA/CPR training and a high school diploma are required, with a technical degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree required.
• MSHA certification and CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years industrial electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct and lead crew as needed to accomplish plant electrical system constructions/erections.
• Provide leadership, guidance, training and encouragement to assist in growth of team members.
• Assist in design of plant flows and layout.
• Assist in management of assigned projects.
• Fill in for Electrical Superintendent as directed.
• Install, maintain, diagnose and repair motors.
• Read blue prints (I/O list).
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot medium voltage equipment.
• Perform conduit bending and all wiring practices.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain motor controllers.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
