Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking an Electrician Journeyperson for our Flint Engine facility. The role involves layout, installation, repair and preventive maintenance of complex electrical equipment and control systems, with work under minimal supervision on a full-time, onsite basis.

The candidate must have 6+ years of related experience or a U.S. Department of Labor certificate, be able to pass GM hiring requirements, and be prepared for flexible shifts including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of related experience as an Electrician or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Electrical trade.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA safety procedures and company rules.
• Maintain and repair electrical equipment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and components.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings and wiring schematics.
