Job summary

MSD Malaysia seeks an experienced Electrician to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment in a heavy industrial setting. You will work under supervision within the I/E Technician group, reading drawings, schematics and CMMS work orders to complete tasks across multiple job groupings.

You will perform conduction tests, install conduits, support power distribution and data systems, and maintain safety and NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and approved electrician training.
• Three years of recent full-time electrician experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, disconnect, and test electrical equipment, motors and control gear.
• Measure, cut, bend conduit and install wiring to panels and outlets.
• Troubleshoot circuits and perform corrective actions.
• Maintain and service electrical equipment and perform safety permits.
• Attend safety and process improvement meetings and participate in HAZOPS.
