Job summary

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support industrial and commercial electrical systems across airport facilities. You will install, troubleshoot, and service electrical equipment, including high-voltage gear, under supervision.

The role requires a Texas Apprentice Electrician license or ability to obtain within 6 months and a valid Class C driver’s license.

Qualifications

Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
Two years of experience as an industrial/commercial electrician.
Apprentice Electrician License issued by the State of Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Ability to obtain Universal Refrigerant certification within one year.
Ability to pass a color vision deficiency test.
Ability to pass a medical physical examination.
On-call availability outside normal hours including weekends/holidays.
Valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

Install power supply wiring and conduit (EMT, Rigid, MC cable, trays).
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, and panels.
Maintain 125 VDC electrical systems and test 25kV switchgear.
Locate faults and repair damaged cables; install and repair electrical systems.
Read blueprints and follow safety codes; use testing devices for continuity checks.
Order parts as needed and maintain credentials (license/SIDA as required).
