Job summary

Central Gulf Industrial Alliance is seeking helpers with basic field experience to plan, layout, install and repair wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures and control equipment. The role includes reading instructions, following diagrams, and performing wiring and conduit tasks in construction settings.

Preferred candidates have at least 6 months documented field experience in the craft, are able to read and interpret documentation, and comply with safety rules such as LOTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures (LOTO, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret instructions/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sketches showing locations of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams to ensure concealed wiring is installed before walls/ceilings/floors are finished.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs conduit using basic tools.
• Pulls wiring through conduit with assistance.
• Splices wires and connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
• Installs control and distribution equipment and connects power cables proper grounding.
