Job summary

Saulsbury Industries in Pecos, TX, seeks a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain and repair heavy industrial electrical systems. Under general supervision, you will follow safety procedures, read schematics, and coordinate with operations for permits and clearances.

The role requires at least four years of heavy industrial experience and knowledge of the National Electric Code. You must bring your own basic hand tools and be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in the heavy industrial industry.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and basic safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Determines methods and materials needed to accomplish maintenance.
• Performs lock-out and tag-out procedures to secure switch gear and deactivate equipment.
• Troubleshoots, inspects, and maintains equipment.
• Works from electrical schematics, plans, and specifications in accordance with established procedures.
• Completes paperwork documenting repair and maintenance activities.
• Communicates with various personnel concerning initiation of maintenance.
