Job summary

Winn-Marion Companies seeks an Apprentice Electrician in Midland, TX to support Journeyman/Master Electricians toward licensure. You will install and test electrical systems, identify safety risks and work with cable trays, conduits and heat trace using hand/power tools.

The role requires basic blueprints, color discernment for cables, and knowledge of high/low voltage wiring; experience in industrial sites is preferred. DOE pay $26-$39/hr; continuous posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• First year Electrical Apprentice with 2000 logged hours required.
• Ability to read blue prints and schematics.
• Color vision to identify cable types and gauges.
• Heat trace experience a plus.
• Ability to terminate high/low voltage wiring.
• Industrial/oil field electrical basics preferred.
• Experience in industrial facilities or power plants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, cable tray and heat trace with limited supervision.
• Use ohm meters, multimeters and terminating devices.
• Identify safety risks and implement precautions.
• Install, modify and fabricate cable tray per specs.
• Terminate wires/cable to breakers, panels and distribution systems.
• Test components for continuity and voltage per specs.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Set up and maintain temporary power systems.
• Install and maintain grounding systems.
• Demonstrate lockout/tagout knowledge.
