Job description

Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking Industrial Electrician Apprentices at our Coshocton, Ohio plant. Industrial Electrician Apprentices will undergo a four-year state-certified training program and obtain an industrial electrician journeyman license upon successful completion.

Summary of Responsibilities

1. Attend over 600 hours of classroom training along with on-the-job training during the four-year program.
2. Maintain operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools.
3. Perform electrical repairs and preventive maintenance, either independently or as part of a team.
4. Respond promptly to maintenance calls and troubleshoot electrical issues.
5. Assist with operating functions as needed.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Meet assessment standards for enrollment in a state-certified industrial electrician apprenticeship program.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow operating instructions and manuals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with math and measurement skills.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts 24/7, including holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles.
