Job summary
M+A Matting is seeking an Electrician for our Dalton, GA plant. The role involves installing and repairing electrical devices, troubleshooting PLC and motor control circuits, and coordinating with production and maintenance teams to keep systems running smoothly.
The position requires experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical control systems, with preference for an Electrician's license. Excellent safety practices and ability to work on-site are essential.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and related experience or training
- Full understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting
- Electrician's license preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots 480VAC 3 phase motor control circuits.
- Troubleshoots industrial control circuits.
- Modifies circuits in industrial machines and systems.
- Changes motors from fractional to 300 HP.
- Troubleshoots PLC systems and installs control systems for rebuilds or new systems.
- Installs and tests Ethernet networks and VFD motor controls.
- Disassembles defective equipment, replaces worn parts, and reassembles.
- Replaces fuses, switches, bulbs, and sockets.
- Follows safety rules to ensure a safe environment.
