We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Electrician & Auto-Pack Systems Technician to join our 2nd Shift team, onsite in Cincinnati, OH. This role is critical to keeping our automated equipment and electrical systems running efficiently and safely across the manufacturing floor.

Basic Function

This job involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and pneumatic systems, troubleshooting circuits, and working from blueprints. It requires 2-5 years of high voltage repair experience, relevant certification, and the ability to work independently with testing devices and hand tools in challenging environments.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices.

  • Repair and rebuild pneumatic control systems on automated equipment and rebuild control panels to replace obsolete electrical components. These repairs and rebuilds can include but are not limited to cylinder control valves, actuators, PLCs, relays, contactors, transformers, etc.

  • Install and wire electrical equipment from blueprints and update prints accordingly.

  • Following electrical diagrams and blueprints, as well as installing and repairing equipment.

  • Familiar with and able to troubleshoot AC and DC circuitry, both control voltage and central power, sometimes with/without blueprints.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • A high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required.

  • Has 2-5 years of experience with high-voltage electricity repairs.

  • Must have a mechanical maintenance or electrician certificate, a licensed industrial electrician is preferred.

  • Has 1-4 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing high-voltage manufacturing equipment.

  • Can work proficiently with little to no supervision.


Requirements


  • Must be able to diagnose and identify electrical malfunctions and/or failures and perform needed repairs, with or without prints.

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and diagrams.

  • Must be familiar with testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and laptops to troubleshoot and work with PLCs on Ladder Logic to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

  • Must be able to completely rebuild control panels by replacing obsolete electrical components and bringing the equipment back into production in a timely manner.

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of high-voltage electricity.

  • 100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment.

  • Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.

  • Must be able to read and write proficiently.

  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

  • 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds.

  • Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.

  • Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.

  • 100% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
