Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
We seek a skilled 2nd Shift Maintenance Electrician to support daily production activities by installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to uphold and improve plant performance.
Responsibilities:
Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and industrial machinery components.
Plan and install power supply wiring and conduit for machines, including palletizers, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
Test and adjust electronic components and wiring, ensuring equipment meets specifications.
Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment for optimal efficiency.
Maintain and organize the maintenance area, ensuring cleanliness and order.
Utilize maintenance systems to complete daily, weekly, and monthly duties.
Operate material handling equipment safely.
Document work order completion in maintenance systems.
Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
Actively participate in plant initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts.
Perform safety observations and support SQF 2000 Systems development.
Uphold Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2–4 years of maintenance electrician experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
Flexible with work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, noisy environments with chemical exposure.
Strong communication, attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, reach, push/pull, and handle objects.
Lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
