The Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, diagnose, and repair a broad range of industrial electrical equipment, PLCs, CNCs, HMIs, motor controls, and related systems. The role requires reading blueprints and diagrams and is based in Portland, MI with openings on 2nd and 3rd

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Journeyman electrician status or electrical certification preferred.
• Must provide and maintain a personal set of tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical equipment and control systems.
• Work with PLCs, CNC, HMIs, and motor controls.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer specifications.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing and ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities

The Industrial Electrician supports a collaborative team environment and demonstrates commitment to lean manufacturing principles. The employee is expected to meet department performance standards, contribute ideas for ongoing improvement, and assist in maintaining efficient departmental operations.

Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a broad range of industrial electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems, including:

• Analog and digital electrical systems
• Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Computer numerical control (CNC) equipment
• Temperature-control systems
• Human-machine interfaces (HMIs)
• Motor controls
• Induction-heating and heat-treat equipment
• Variable-frequency and variable-speed drives
• Counters, timers, and microprocessor-based controls
• Traditional relay-logic-controlled equipment

The employee must be able to interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, electrical wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.

Schedule / Shift Details

Openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts!

• 2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:30pm – 7:00am
• Overtime as needed

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician status or electrical certification is preferred.
• Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Must provide and maintain a personal set of tools.
• Working conditions may occasionally include exposure to excessive heat or cold, cramped or confined work areas, and electromagnetic fields. Some heavy lifting may be required.
