Accelera is hiring an Industrial Electrician for our automotive manufacturing team in Portland, MI. This direct hire role offers a full benefits package and immediate start date.

The position focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and restoring various industrial electrical systems and machinery. You will work with PLCs, CNC machinery, HMIs, and other digital/analog systems, reading schematics and drawings to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Own and maintain a professional toolkit.
• Able to operate in extreme temperatures, tight spaces and electromagnetic fields; capable of lifting tasks.

Job description

Industrial Electrician - Earn between $34.81 and $41.72 per hour, based on your experience.

We are currently seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our automotive manufacturing team. This is a direct hire role with an immediate start date, offering a full benefits package upon onboarding.

Core Duties

As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a vital role in our team-oriented facility, actively supporting lean manufacturing initiatives. You will be responsible for meeting operational benchmarks, proposing solutions for process optimization, and ensuring the department runs smoothly.

Your primary focus will involve the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and restoration of various industrial electrical systems and machinery, specifically:

• Digital and analog electrical infrastructure
• Programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Computer numerical control (CNC) machinery
• Thermal regulation systems
• Human-machine interfaces (HMIs)
• Heat-treat and induction-heating technology
• Variable-speed and variable-frequency drive systems
• Microprocessor-based controls and timing mechanisms
• Relay-logic-based electrical hardware

You must be capable of reading and utilizing technical drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturer documentation to complete your tasks.

Work Site: Portland, MI

Shift Information: We are hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with mandatory overtime as required.

• 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 7:00am
• Overtime availability is required

Requirements

• Possession of a journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification is highly desired.
• Proven background working within a production or manufacturing setting.
• You must supply and care for your own professional tool kit.
• Help maintain a safe working environment by navigating occasional extreme temperatures, tight spaces, and electromagnetic fields, while being prepared for physical lifting tasks.
