7PM-7AM - 3/4 schedule

What this job involves –

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial buildings managed by JLL. You will ensure that all electrical work meets safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.

What is your day to day?

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Install and maintain building automation and energy management systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with other trades and facility management team members on projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time and materials used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical work.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with building automation systems and energy management systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends for emergency calls.

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate's degree in electrical technology preferred.
  • Valid electrician's license as required by the state of New Jersey.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Able to stand, walk, climb, and maintain balance for extended periods.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

65,000.00 – 75,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
