Job Summary

Performs electric and electronic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced electric and electronic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
• Follow up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
• Log characteristics of the failure to help determine the root cause.
• Carry out repairs and improvements on 480V and below panels and protection systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings.
• Calibrate and perform adjustments in electronic instruments and industrial PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens).
• Verify and ensure availability of spare parts.
• Ensure tools, instruments, parts and accessories meet specifications.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities.
• Interact with other areas.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work with outside resources.
• Operate forklift or radio‑controlled overhead crane when applicable.
• Update information in the maintenance systems and prepare maintenance reports.
• Steel mill experience is a plus.
• Electrical instrumentation experience is a plus.
