Job summary

Wm B Reily & Company in Knoxville is seeking an Electrician to perform routine installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems across the plant, ensuring compliance with local and federal codes.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years of experience, with strong conduit bending, wiring, and machine-control troubleshooting. Expect to work a 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum three (3) years of full-time experience in electrical field, conduit bending, wiring, and machine controls (frequency drives, motor starters, relay logic-PLC).
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and perform repairs/upgrades as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as required.
• Familiarity with CMMS and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs electrical systems to eliminate hazards.
• Installs, tests and documents new equipment for proper operation.
• Troubleshoots production equipment and building infrastructure.
• Maintains and repairs production machinery and data/power outlets.
• Plans wiring layouts and updates drawings as needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance and documentation.
• Ensures food-safe, quality product compliance.

Our Electrician performs routine installations, repairs, and maintenance of all electrical systems throughout the facility to ensure compliance with local and federal codes.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm. Overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs electrical systems throughout the facility, eliminating electrical hazards that may pose safety issues to people and property
• Installs, tests and documents new equipment to ensure proper operation
• Proactively researches and troubleshoots potential issues to building infrastructure and production equipment
• Maintains and repairs electronic components of production machinery to ensure efficiency and safe operation
• Relocates and installs outlets and data ports where needed
• Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
• Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
• Performs Preventive Maintenance and Documentation
• Updates drawings as needed
• Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience and strong electrical field knowledge including conduit bending and wire installation, troubleshooting machine controls (frequency drives, motor starters, relay logic-PLC) and the ability to make repairs and upgrades as required
• Skilled in the use of all tools associated with the electrician's trade
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management systems
• PLC troubleshooting experience helpful
• Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively
• Willingness and ability to assist with non-electrical projects as needed
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed to support the business
• Strong safety awareness
• Basic PC Knowledge
