Job summary

Nbutexas in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Industrial Electrician to join a high-volume processing facility’s maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and control systems, taking real ownership of equipment reliability.

Work hours Monday–Friday, 5:30am–5:30pm with occasional Saturdays. Base pay $25-30+/hour, plus bonus up to 50%, OT after 40 hours, and a strong 401k match. PPE provided; use your own basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting experience required.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of NEC code.
• Familiarity with using a multimeter.
• Experience with PLC platforms acceptable.
• Journeyman license is a plus, not required.
• Background in manufacturing/heavy industrial settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase electrical systems, motor circuits, and control circuits.
• Diagnose AC/DC motors, VFDs, starters, contactors, and control transformers.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Repair conveyors, shredders, sorting equipment, pumps, and other machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document repairs.
• Follow LOTO and electrical safety procedures.

Pay & Benefits

• $25-30+/hour base, plus bonus up to 50% (currently averaging ~30%)
• Overtime after 40 hours (time and a half)
• All-in earning potential: roughly $118K-$142K/year (base + bonus + typical OT)

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase systems, motor circuits, and control circuits
• Diagnose AC/DC motors, VFDs, starters, contactors, and control transformers

What We're Looking For

• Real hands-on troubleshooting experience — not entry-level
• Comfortable working independently, low supervision needed
• Solid understanding of NEC code
• Experience with a multimeter (owned or regularly used one)
• Any PLC platform experience works — doesn't need to be Allen-Bradley specifically
• Journeyman license is a plus, not required
• Background in manufacturing, recycling, automotive, or heavy industrial preferred (residential-only electricians won't be a fit)
