Job summary

Poly-West, a division of Poly-America, L.P., is expanding its Henderson, NV area maintenance team. Industrial Electricians will maintain, install, troubleshoot and modify industrial equipment, and support a manufacturing maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability.

The role requires experience in troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting, PLC familiarity, strong communication, and the ability to work either night or day shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience performing troubleshooting functions in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience with PLCs preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• The desire to expand knowledge and grow with the company.
• The ability to work a night shift or a day shift.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling devices to access defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and safety devices.
• Inspecting parts for imperfections and ensuring dimensional accuracy.
• Maintains, repairs, installs and tests motors, drives, PLCs and relays.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Understand ladder logic and process instrumentation diagrams and diagnose communications issues.
• Work in a manufacturing maintenance team to support equipment reliability.

Industrial Electricians at Poly-West are responsible for the maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and modification of new and existing industrial equipment. This role will recommend and execute maintenance procedures. The Electrician will be working in a manufacturing maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Dismantling devices to gain access to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools, and safety lock-out devices.

Examining form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

Adjusting functioning parts of devices and control instruments.

Understanding of ladder logic and process instrumentation diagrams and the ability to diagnose communications issues through their use.

Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.

Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests motors, drives, PLCs, relays, heaters, and other electrical components.
