Insight Global seeks an industrial electrician for Fremont, CA. You will install, terminate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and distribution systems (120–480V), support startup and commissioning, and ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and Tesla standards before production release.
Applicants should have completed an electrician apprenticeship or journeyman status, 3+ years in heavy production, and be proficient with reading one-lines and schematics; NFPA 70E
Install, terminate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and distribution systems, including motor control centers, distribution panels, breakers, and switchgear, from 120V through 480VSupport installation, startup, commissioning, and validation so electrical systems match design intent, code, and Tesla standards before they are released to productionDiagnose faults using one-lines, wiring diagrams, schematics, and test equipment, and return equipment to serviceEstablish an electrically safe work condition: lockout/tagout, verify absence of voltage, and re-energize under control. Perform justified energized diagnostic work, including work inside equipment, only with the required PPE and energized-work authorization under NFPA 70E and site EHS rulesTrace circuits and loads to support troubleshooting, modifications, and accurate as-builts; mark up drawings for the design recordMeter electrical loads on distribution and equipment circuits through 480V, including voltage and current, to confirm loading during troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup. Perform live metering only under NFPA 70E, with the required PPE and energized-work authorization.Run preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and act on reliability issues that affect uptimeWork with engineering, maintenance, and commissioning to clear blockers to production readinessFollow NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Fremont site safety requirements on every job
Completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship, or an equivalent journeyman qualification (state or local certificate, or union journeyman status where that is the local credential). A California C-10 contractor license is not required3+ years in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, battery, semiconductor, or other heavy production environmentsWorking knowledge of 480V distribution, MCCs, industrial breakers, and switchgearAbility to read and apply one-lines, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematicsHands-on use of multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers, including metering voltage and current on 480V loadsCurrent NFPA 70E qualified-electrical-worker training, documented.
