Job summary

Atlas Tube in Chicago seeks an Electrician to maintain and repair tube mill production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, product quality, and safety.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will troubleshoot, read schematics, follow LOTO procedures, and lead by example in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. This role requires 2+ years of electrical maintenance experience and a Journeyman card or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Journeyman card or Associate's Degree (or equivalent) is required.
• 2+ years electrical maintenance experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in tube mill or steel manufacturing is a plus.
• Able to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Capable of basic math and using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains electrical systems on production equipment following safety procedures (LOTO).
• Ensures guards and safety devices are functioning before turnover.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, and manuals for troubleshooting.
• Uses hand/power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring devices for electrical tasks.
• Performs breakdown and preventive maintenance; handles electrical changeovers on lines.
• Keeps work areas clean and audit-ready; communicates issues to supervisor.
