As an Industrial Electrician you will perform all phases of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical and instrumentation systems. This position typically operates on a rotating schedule. This is a bargaining union opportunity; those selected may be expected to join the local union.RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do: Repair, adjust, and install electrical equipment including but not limited to: programmable controllers and recorders, transmitters and transducers, motor control centers, power lift trucks, building lighting, heating, AC and ventilation equipment, electrical motors, complex electronic devices, control panels, relays, conduit and switchesTroubleshoots and repairs complex problems: visually inspects diagnoses and observes electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.Changes-out and repairs AC/DC electric motors and parts, relays, solenoids, and terminal stripsDisassembles equipment to gain access to problem, using crane, hoists, hand tools, power tools, hammers, pry-bars, etc.; examines parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wearUses blueprints, diagrams, repair manuals, calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring instruments as requiredThis position has a current starting rate on days of $39.11 and will increase to $43.02 once assigned to shifts.This position is part of a bargaining unit and shift schedules may change based on the bargaining agreement.
