A leading pipe manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Electrician in Alvarado, TX. The role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems and troubleshooting various components. Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components
• Ensure conduit compliance with NEMA electrical codes
• Test electrical systems for proper installation and operation
• Inspect and replace conduit and wiring as needed

Skills

Industrial Electrical experience

Ability to read electrical schematics

Bilingual preferred

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring

Knowledge with variable drives

Expert understanding of related devices (AC/DC Drives, PLC, VFD)

Ability to troubleshoot analog controls

Proficient in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a formal apprenticeship

Overview

The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings.

Essential Functions

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings to meet NEMA standards.
• Installs conduit to facility electrical wires and cables.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components.
• Ensures conduit complies with NEMA electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of how to troubleshoot PLC.
• Install and program VFDs.

Requirements

• Industrial Electrical experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Knowledge with variable drives.
• Knowledge with automated machines and an expert understanding of all related devices (AC/DC Drives, prox, photo eye’s, encoders, PLC, VFD and transducers).
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog controls.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license recommended but not required.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to see color to discern color‑coded wiring.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed. This position regularly requires weekend work.
