Job summary

MSW Machinery Solutions seeks an experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendent to lead large-scale electrical installations from estimating through completion. This hands-on leadership role requires ownership of schedules, budgets, and installations while coordinating crews and subcontractors on multifaceted projects.

You will estimate labor and material requirements, review drawings and specifications, manage cost tracking, procure materials, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Estimate large industrial electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and installation requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and customer requirements.
• Develop project labor and material budgets and monitor costs throughout the project.
• Supervise industrial electrical installations from mobilization through completion.
• Hire, organize, train, and supervise electrical crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily manpower, equipment, materials, and job-site activities.
• Work directly with suppliers to procure electrical materials and equipment.
• Schedule material deliveries to keep projects moving and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and other trades.
• Track project progress, labor hours, material usage, and job costs.
• Identify potential cost overruns or schedule issues early and take corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
• Ensure installations meet electrical codes, project specifications, and MSW quality standards.
• Assist with change orders, project documentation, and customer communication.
• Travel and work at customer facilities for extended periods.

Job description

We looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendent to lead large-scale industrial electrical installation projects from estimating through completion.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands industrial electrical construction, knows how to build accurate estimates, can manage crews and subcontractors, and takes ownership of keeping projects on schedule and on or under budget.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Significant experience in industrial electrical construction and installation.


• Proven experience estimating large industrial electrical projects.


• Strong understanding of electrical materials, equipment, installation methods, and labor requirements.


• Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, General Foreman, Project Manager, or similar leadership role.


• Demonstrated ability to manage crews and keep projects productive


• Strong purchasing and supplier-management skills.


• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.


• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining control of project costs.


• Comfortable working directly with customers and other contractors.


• Strong computer skills for estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and project documentation.


• Willingness and ability to travel extensively and be away from home for extended periods.


• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
