Job summary

Bachner Electro USA, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial electrical construction projects, with a focus on automotive manufacturing environments.

You will oversee the installation of cable trays, 480V power and control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and Profinet networks while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance. Strong leadership and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of industrial electrical construction experience.
  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or Foreman leadership role.
  • Extensive experience working in automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of: Cable tray systems; PLC systems; 480V power and control systems; VFDs; E-stop circuits; Profinet.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical foremen, leads, and electricians on industrial projects.
  • Coordinate daily field activities to maintain project schedules and productivity.
  • Plan manpower requirements and allocate labor effectively.
  • Conduct daily planning meetings and communicate project goals to field personnel.

Job description

The Industrial Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations for industrial electrical construction projects while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This role provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates with project management, and serves as the primary field representative for clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in automotive manufacturing facilities and possesses a strong background in industrial electrical installations, controls, and commissioning.

Essential Responsibilities
Project Leadership
  • Lead and supervise electrical foremen, leads, and electricians on industrial construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily field activities to maintain project schedules and productivity.
  • Plan manpower requirements and allocate labor effectively.
  • Conduct daily planning meetings and communicate project goals to field personnel.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to identify and resolve field issues.
Industrial Electrical Installation
  • Oversee installation of:
    • Cable tray systems
    • Power distribution systems
    • 480V electrical systems
    • Industrial control systems
    • PLC-controlled equipment
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Emergency Stop (E-Stop) systems
    • Profinet industrial communication networks
  • Ensure installations comply with project drawings, specifications, NEC requirements, and customer standards.
Automotive Manufacturing Experience
  • Manage electrical installations within automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate installations around active production environments.
  • Understand OEM standards and client-specific installation requirements.
  • Support equipment installations, production line modifications, and manufacturing expansions.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Complete and maintain all required safety documentation.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily reports documenting project progress.
  • Track and report employee labor hours.
  • Maintain installation documentation and quality records.
  • Review and verify completed work before submitting for inspection.
  • Coordinate punch list completion and project closeout documentation.
  • Assist with RFIs, change documentation, and field reports.
Organization & Planning
  • Maintain organized project documentation and field records.
  • Coordinate deliveries and material management.
  • Schedule inspections and coordinate subcontractor activities.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are available to maintain productivity.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts and communicate them proactively.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of industrial electrical construction experience.
  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or Foreman leadership role.
  • Extensive experience working in automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cable tray systems
    • PLC systems
    • 480V power and control systems
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • Emergency Stop (E-Stop) circuits
    • Profinet communication systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and control schematics.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple crews simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and digital reporting platforms.
  • Ability to maintain detailed documentation and labor reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Lift and aerial equipment certifications
  • Experience with industrial commissioning and start-up activities
  • Experience with quality control documentation and inspections
  • Experience using Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar construction management software
