Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks an Industrial Electrical Project Engineer II to lead electrical engineering on multi-discipline industrial process design projects across minerals, fertilizers, pulp and paper, and petrochemicals. You will coordinate with design teams to deliver on schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Support overall Project Manager by executing project management responsibilities for respective discipline, including developing hours estimates, scope, etc.
• Provide design status updates to the Project Manager.
• Track budgets for discipline tasks.
• Oversee sub-tasks within their discipline.
• Ensure QA/QC plans per PMP guidance.
• Delegate project tasks to team members.
• Mentor design staff through the design process.
• Provide consultative services to clients, attend meetings, and meet expectations.
• Collaborate with sub-consultants and internal disciplines.
• Develop extra work order requests and task proposals.
• Perform alternative studies and finalize client reports.
• Plan and coordinate detailed engineering phases for projects.
• Design using advanced discipline knowledge and CAD tools.
• Perform design checks and prepare plans, specs, and estimates.
• Coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines and quality.
• Provide technical oversight to junior engineers.
• Lead and manage team performance and growth.
