Job summary

Clearwater Paper’s Augusta mill is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to perform preventive maintenance on AC/DC motors, calibrations, PID controls, and open/closed loop systems in a heavy industrial setting.

The role emphasizes safety, shift work, and hands-on problem solving for valves, transformers, sensors, and instrumentation, with a focus on reliability and quality across the paperboard operation.

Qualifications

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Able to work rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays.
• Capable of learning through self-directed study and advancement.
• Able to work in an industrial environment with temperature extremes and hazardous chemicals.
• Crane or hoist experience required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, transformers, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation including flow, level, pressure, and temperature.
• Calibrate sensors, valves, and PID loops to maintain production reliability.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment.
