Job summary

The Augusta mill, Clearwater Paper’s largest paperboard facility, located along the Savannah River in Georgia, seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. You will perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance on AC/DC motors, transformers, and instrumentation, and ensure reliable operation of plant equipment in a heavy industrial environment.

Candidate must work a rotating 8-hour schedule, be committed to safety, and be capable of learning through self-directed study with opportunities

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety procedures and PPE use.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including overtime/holidays.
• Willingness to learn through self-directed study and advancement.
• Comfortable operating in extreme temperatures, with dust, chemicals, and loud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and basic manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting in a heavy industrial setting.
• Maintain preventive maintenance on motors, transformers, valves, and instrumentation.
• Calibrate sensors, PID controls, and ensure reliable operation of facility equipment.
