Job summary

Beck & Pollitzer USA in Spartanburg, SC, is seeking an Industrial Electrical Estimator to analyze blueprints, specs, and project docs to prepare accurate cost and labor estimates. This role supports bid development, cost tracking, and proposal preparation to help ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

The position requires at least 3 years of industrial estimating experience, proficiency with estimation software and MS Office, and strong knowledge of safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating industrial construction and/or machinery installation.
• Experience estimating mechanical and electrical projects, including production equipment installations.
• Experience with electrical commodity takeoffs including cable tray, conduit, cable pulls/lengths, and wire terminations.
• Experience estimating installation of electrical equipment including switchgear, motor control centers, control panels, electrical distribution panels, transformers, lighting, UPS systems, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations.
• Strong financial skills including cost analysis and budgeting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Project Management training or certification is a plus.
• Cost estimating for large projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Summary of Primary Functions:

The Industrial Electrical Estimator is responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to prepare accurate cost and labor estimates. This role supports the Estimating Manager and Project Managers by contributing to bid development, cost tracking, and proposal preparation. The Industrial Electrical Estimator plays a key role in ensuring project profitability, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Experience, Qualifications and Key Competencies

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience estimating projects for industrial construction and/or industrial machinery installation is required.
• Experience estimating mechanical and electrical engineering projects, especially production equipment installations.
• Experience performing electrical commodity takeoffs including cable tray, conduit, cable pulls/lengths, and wire terminations.
• Experience estimating installation of industrial electrical equipment including switchgear, motor control centers, control panels, electrical distribution panels, transformers, lighting, UPS systems, etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office and estimation software.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and health & safety regulations.
• Strong financial skills including cost analysis and budgeting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Project Management training or certification is a plus.
• Construction cost estimating; estimating large projects is a plus.
