Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Designer in Jacksonville, FL to develop detailed electrical designs and construction packages for heavy industrial projects, primarily chemical plants and pulp & paper facilities. You will use AutoCAD to produce layouts, power distribution drawings, conduit routing, and installation details while coordinating with engineers and clients.

The role requires 5-10+ years of electrical design experience in industrial environments, knowledge of codes, and field

Qualifications

5-10+ years of electrical design experience
Experience in industrial electrical design
Experience supporting chemical plants, pulp & paper facilities, or heavy industrial environments
Experience with consulting engineering firms
Knowledge of electrical design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
Field walk-downs and site investigations experience
Familiarity with industry codes and standards
Experience with brownfield facility modifications and capital projects

Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical design drawings and construction packages using AutoCAD
Prepare electrical layouts, power distribution drawings, conduit and cable routing plans
Create equipment installation details and manage design revisions throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and clients to meet project requirements
Participate in field walk-downs and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
