Job summary

CECO Environmental is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Clearwater, FL. You will design and support control systems, prepare technical documentation, and assist with proposals.

Responsibilities include CAD design, PLC/relay control, developing electrical schematics, and coordinating with sales and operations. Requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, AutoCAD experience, and strong technical writing.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
• Proven experience designing industrial control equipment (3–5 years).
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Experience designing control panels based on relay or PLC control.
• Experience writing PLC control logic is a plus.
• Knowledge of plant process control and monitoring is a plus.
• Working knowledge of IEC, NEC and NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficiency in technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Research and review project requirements to determine if design can be met.
• Design control systems based on customer specifications.
• Assist with the preparation of engineering documents.
• Communicate with the project team to establish functions and deadlines.
• Create designs and drawings using CAD templates or update existing CAD files.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
• Complete the design process in line with the Scope of Work and quality reviews.
• Review drawings to ensure alignment with scoping and standards.
• Assist sales with scope and estimates for proposals.
• Perform inspection and surveillance of outsourced electrical procurement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
