Job summary
Express Employment Professionals - Lynchburg is seeking an Electrical Controls Design Engineer to develop electrical designs and control systems for industrial equipment in the Lynchburg area. Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on industrial control systems.
- 5 years of related industry experience.
- Experience with PLCs: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC 500.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical (2018+).
Responsibilities
- Design electrical control panels and circuits to UL 508A specs.
- Prepare equipment layouts showing motors, sensors, and switches.
- Select programmable controllers based on IO and memory.
- Develop BOMs and production documentation for panels and wiring.
- Prepare design information for drafting and BOM review.
- Support control-panel assembly and wiring.
- Coordinate interfaces with vendors.
- Provide telephone support for field installation and troubleshooting.
- Work overtime as project needs require.
