Job summary

AKFA Aluminum Solutions seeks a licensed Industrial Electrical Contractor for a 5-month installation and support of a temporary 50 Hz power supply system for European welding and tank equipment at our Bowling Green, Kentucky facility.

Responsibilities include site assessment, system installation, load balancing, testing under welding loads, and comprehensive documentation. Must have Kentucky electrical license, insurance, and compliance with OSHA 1910.332.

Qualifications

Valid Electrical Contractor License in Kentucky.
Proven hands-on experience with 480V 3-phase industrial electrical systems, 60/50 Hz frequency converters, and welding machinery.
Required commercial insurance coverage.
Full compliance with electrical codes, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards (OSHA 1910.332).
Ability to obtain municipal electrical permits and coordinate inspections in Bowling Green, KY.

Responsibilities

Site assessment & power connection for 460/480V, 3-phase, 60 Hz system.
Supply and install breakers, cables, disconnects, and protective devices.
Install a 50 kVA / 40 kW converter to 380/230 VAC (50 Hz).
Set up temporary power panels at 380V 3-phase (50 Hz) and 230V single-phase (50 Hz).
Test under welding loads; document commissioning and as-built inventory.
Provide ongoing on-call support for ~5 months.
