Job summary

C2O Americas is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Technician to join our team on an industrial project in Texas. You will support commissioning, testing, and startup activities to ensure electrical systems are installed and operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in pre-commissioning and commissioning, strong LV/MV knowledge, and proven ability to work with construction and operations teams to deliver handover-ready systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years pre-commissioning and commissioning experience.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, MCCs, switchgear, and control systems.
• Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO), permitting, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system verification during commissioning.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks per documentation such as ITRs.
• Test electrical switchgear components (CTs, VTs, relays, etc.).
• Energize 120VAC distribution panelboards and MCCs.
• Setup and energize Heat Trace and UPS systems; test lighting and small power circuits.
• Support multi-discipline commissioning activities and handover to Completions team.
• Provide startup support to Operations and interface with Construction and Operations Teams.
