Job summary

The Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND seeks a skilled Technician responsible for plant instrumentation, control systems and electrical equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, program and document equipment, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

You will work in a dynamic food/agriculture processing environment, with a night shift from 7pm to 7am. Prior PLC experience and journeyman credentials are valued as you help keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of a technical trade, apprenticeship or associate degree in a related field preferred.
Journeyman Electrician Card preferred.
3–5 years instrumentation/electrical experience in a plant setting.
Experience programming and/or PLC operations preferred.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings and MSDS.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant instrumentation, electrical and control systems.
Install, calibrate, document and upgrade equipment and systems.
Maintain safe, clean and functional work area.
Train fellow workers as needed.
Operate in accordance with company policies and SOPs; comply with safety standards.
