Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a skilled technician for plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical/electronic equipment maintenance. You will troubleshoot, repair, program, document, upgrade, and install equipment and systems in the GF Grand Forks facility.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, following SOPs, and training teammates as required. Weekend and overtime are common to meet production goals in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical trade or apprenticeship/associate degree in related field preferred.
• Journeyman Electrician Card holders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, program, document, upgrade, and install equipment and systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and labor agreements.
• Read and interpret manufacturers’ manuals, MSDS, and engineering drawings.
• Possess working knowledge of electricity, electronics, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Train fellow workers as needed.
• Maintain clean and functional work area.
• Work in extreme environments and support production goals.
