Job summary

HDR is seeking an Industrial Coordinator/EIT in Tyler, Texas to support design efforts for pipelines and facility layouts within our Industrial sector. The role requires preparing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations across project teams.

Preferred candidates hold an EIT and have experience with civil engineering software; travel to sites will be required as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is required.
• EIT preferred; hires without EIT may become Coordinator and pursue EIT for progression.

Responsibilities

• Support design efforts for pipelines and facility layouts.
• Assist in preparing drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Review design standards and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Participate in quality checks, vendor drawing reviews, and development of procurement specs.
• Contribute to bid evaluations, conceptual design studies, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project execution.
• Attend project meetings and site visits to support design and construction activities.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and travel to sites as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Industrial Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Support design efforts for pipelines and facility layouts.
• Assist in preparing engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive/travel to sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of \"Coordinator\" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D; specialty civil platforms (e.g., Openflows) as required
