Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. is seeking a Digitalization and Process Control professional to design, test, and implement software for manufacturing processes. You will own developed applications, ensuring customer needs are met while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires 0–3 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and on project teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or CS field is required.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills are essential.
• Solid computer and industrial network skills with good problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and in project teams; occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug software tools for production use.
• Evaluate and select instrumentation for projects.
• Design, program and integrate systems for measurement, control, and inspection.
• Install systems meeting specifications within budget and timing.
• Contribute to project plans, budgets and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to deliver compliant systems.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing processes.
• Prepare clear project communications for various stakeholders.
• Create technical documentation and train manufacturing staff.
• Assess and improve existing systems to raise performance and reduce cost.
• Adhere to company standards and values; support continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
