Job summary

Rawlings Sporting Goods Company Inc is seeking an experienced Industrial/Product Designer to conceptualize, design, develop, and bring hard goods to market. You will work on 3D concepts, CAD models, and renderings, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Quality, and Marketing to balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.

The role emphasizes ergonomics, durability, and user-centered design, with opportunities to influence both hard and soft goods as needed.

Qualifications

• This role requires a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
• Strong 3D design and modeling skills using NX or SolidWorks.
• 1–5 years of professional industrial/product design experience with consumer products.
• Portfolio demonstrating physical product development from concept to production.
• Experience designing hard goods; soft goods or textiles a plus.
• Knowledge of ergonomics, durability, and manufacturability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative product concepts from ideation to production.
• Create 2D/3D concepts, CAD models, sketches, renderings, and presentations.
• Design hard goods and contribute to soft goods as needed.
• Apply ergonomics, durability, usability, and user experience.
• Translate user needs into physical product solutions.
• Deliver projects on time within cost targets.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Quality, Marketing teams.
• Review prototypes and production units for improvements.
• Develop design documentation and specifications.
• Conduct competitive analysis to keep products current.
