Job summary

Hark in San Jose, CA is seeking an Industrial Designer to bring the look and feel of our hardware from sketch to production. You’ll work daily with product design, mechanical, electrical, and acoustics engineers to ensure the design intent is realized in mass-produced devices.

You will develop sketches, 3D surfaces, physical prototypes, and CMF strategies while partnering across teams to ship high-quality hardware that matches our design language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Industrial Design or related field.
• Minimum 3 years designing consumer hardware with production exposure.
• Strong collaboration with mechanical, electrical engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop industrial design concepts for hardware and accessories.
• Translate design direction into production-ready surfaces and specs.
• Build rapid in-house prototypes (foam, 3D print, CNC).
• Support CMF development and supplier sampling.
• Detail buttons, lighting, haptics and how devices are held or worn.
• Collaborate across product, mechanical, electrical, acoustics teams to mass production.
• Prepare design presentations and reviews for leadership.
• Travel to suppliers/manufacturers as needed.
