Job Objective: The Industrial Designer is an established performer that works to facilitate and support manufacturing functions and projects by utilizing strong knowledge of industry practices and standards. This role will plan, organize, and execute design projects within manufacturing facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
  2. Assist with technical issues on digital printing technologies, and ensure equipment is maintained for proper operation.
  3. Ensure that Design equipment is working safely and efficiently.
  4. Collaboratively work with project teams to meet all project goals and deadlines.
  5. Responsible for ensuring operations are within specifications.
  6. Work on cross-functional teams to support the development of new and innovative projects.
  7. Keep the area safe, clean, and organized.
  8. Draw from prior experience, interpret facts, and identify incomplete data/anomalies to solve problems.
  9. Use innovative solutions to enhance personal work and, where applicable, the work of the team.
  10. Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
  11. Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  2. 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies:
  1. Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  2. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  3. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  4. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  5. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
Other Pertinent Job Information:
  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
  2. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
  4. Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
  5. Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
  6. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.
  7. The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.
  8. May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  9. The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
  10. The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
