Job summary

Enerpac is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to expand your design capabilities within a growing tools segment. You will act as a liaison for customers, helping translate needs into design concepts and collaborate with innovation leaders, engineers, product management, and fellow designers.

The role emphasizes active NPD projects, upfront ideation, and development of physical products and graphical interfaces.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an Industrial Design Program [BFA, or BS] from an accredited university
Experience: None

Responsibilities

Participate in product research and uncover opportunities that translate needs into actionable design requirements
Involved in upfront concept ideation and development, solving newly found needs and opportunities
Participate in the design, development and refinement of physical products and graphical user-interfaces
Use strategy to develop user experiences for our products through both digital and physical means
Generate creative design proposals with illustration techniques to provide visual portrayals of design directions
Use software to develop virtual models and renderings to communicate design intent to teams
Create physical prototypes that represent accurate design directions for alignment with CoE teams
Work with CoE teams, Enerpac Operations, and engineers/manufacturers to evaluate concepts for cost
