Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks with basic CAD skills.
• Good written and visual presentation skills; hand sketching a plus.
• Skills and experience with basic shop tools; ability to make simple mockups.
• Motivated self-starter who actively seeks the next task to complete.
• Position would be roughly 25% design / 75% production.
• UI/UX knowledge a plus.
• Ability to communicate ideas to a team in person & virtual settings.
• Understanding of the design process.

Responsibilities

• Produce first-pass CAD in SolidWorks for new concepts and iterations.
• Attend design development meetings and brainstorm sessions; present designs.
• Prototype concepts using 3D printing and other modeling methods.
• Conduct industry research and present findings.
• Explore user interface generation for concept products.
