Job description

Join Us in Building the Future of Home Robotics

At Sunday, we're developing personal robots to reclaim the hours lost to repetitive tasks. We're focused on an ambitious goal to make generalized robots broadly accessible, enabling households to take back quality time.

We have spent the last 18 months building a talented team, securing capital, and validating our technology. We are now seeking passionate individuals to join us in the next phase of our growth. If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.

What to Expect

As an Industrial Design Intern, you’ll work closely with our industrial design and engineering teams on Memo, our home robot. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to real product development—not just concept work.

You’ll play a key role throughout the design process—from early brainstorming and concept development to design refinement and getting the product mass-production ready. We’re looking for someone who is excited about robot design, passionate about physical products, and curious about what the future of living with robots could look like.

Duration of Internship: September through December

What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with industrial designers and engineers to develop concepts and deliver thoughtful design solutions

  • Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback

  • Be proactive in voicing and sharing your ideas, and bring them to life through sketch and CAD

  • Build and iterate physical prototypes using 3D printing and other prototyping methods

  • Contribute to CMF development and exploration

  • Work with vendors and manufacturing partners to evaluate samples and prototypes

What You’ll Bring
  • Strong foundation in sketching, form development, and 3D modeling

  • Proficiency in Rhino, SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar CAD tools

  • Experience with 3D printing and hands-on prototyping

  • Experience with KeyShot or other rendering tools

  • Good aesthetic judgment and strong attention to detail

  • Collaborative and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to design

  • Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Excited about robotics, consumer products, and the future of technology in the home

At Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply. Studies show that women and underrepresented groups often hold back unless they meet 100% of the criteria — we don’t want that to be the reason we miss out on great talent.
