Industrial Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our design and development efforts for custom machinery tailored to the unique needs of our clients.

Position Overview:As a Mechanical Engineer on our design team, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and optimizing machinery designs that meet both performance specifications and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in industrial machinery design, excels in 3D CAD modeling, and brings a strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the design of industrial machinery components and assemblies from concept through production.
  • Develop detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
  • Perform engineering analysis on designs, including stress, fatigue, and tolerance studies, to ensure reliability and longevity.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management, to ensure designs meet functional and production requirements.
  • Evaluate design changes, suggest improvements, and participate in design reviews.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting processes, and resolve engineering-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically for industrial machinery or automation equipment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD; experience with other CAD software (such as Creo or Siemens NX) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and industry-standard design practices.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to industrial machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
