Baker Gulf Coast Industrial, LLC seeks an experienced Estimator to join the Deep Foundations team in Baton Rouge. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for industrial foundation projects, collaborating with business development, project management, and operations to evaluate opportunities, develop bid strategies, and manage risk.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, accounting or related field with 3 years' related experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience estimating large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with Gulf Coast construction markets and subcontractor networks

Responsabilidades

• Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs
• Develop estimates for deep foundation systems (driven piling, drilled piling, drilled shafts, helical piling) in an industrial environment
• Analyze means and methods to determine cost-effective approaches
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Prepare bid summaries, cost breakdowns, and proposal documentation
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, clarifications, and potential cost exposures
• Assess labor availability, equipment requirements, production rates, and sequencing
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Develop relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Support competitive bidding strategies and market analysis
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
