Job summary

Peraton in Arlington, VA, is seeking an Industrial Control System Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to drive proactive threat intelligence for Federal Strategic Cyber programs. You will analyze OT/ICS environments, identify adversaries, and develop threat profiles for decision makers.

You will fuse OSINT with open-source tools, map ICS threats to MITRE ATT&CK for ICs, and prepare assessments for senior U.S. government officials. This role requires TS clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in threat hunting, or equivalent.
• Experience threat hunting, network reconnaissance, or vulnerability assessment in IT/OT.
• Familiarity with IC/SCADA systems and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, BACnet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
• Hands-on experience with Shodan, Censys, or similar asset discovery tools.
• OSINT collection and analysis for cyber threat assessments.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs).
• Experience across industries/timeframes in threats.
• Familiarity with TI tools: DomainTools, VirusTotal, Maltego, exploit-db.
• Produce intelligence assessments adhering to ICD203 standards.
• Ability to collaborate with threat intel partners.
• U.S. citizenship and active TS clearance with SCI eligibility (DHS EOD possible).

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across OT/ICS environments to identify adversaries and compromises.
• Use asset discovery platforms to identify exposed ICs/SCADA assets and inform threat assessments.
• Perform OSINT research to identify current threats targeting critical infrastructure sectors.
• Analyze network traffic and ICS protocols to identify anomalous activity.
• Fuse intelligence sources to develop products and inform priorities for operational teams.
• Prepare threat assessments and profiles for senior leaders and leaders in cyberspace operations.
• Document and present findings for U.S. government intelligence and operations officials.
• Escalate high-priority threats to Cyber Physical Forensics as needed.
• Map ICS threat activity using MITRE ATT&CK for ICs.
• Collaborate with a team of analysts for incident response and threat hunting engagements.
• Identify potential open-source vulnerabilities in ICs/SCADA systems and assess exploitability.
