Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled CR/DR Technician to support our North Salt Lake City, UT operations. The role focuses on operating CR/DR imaging equipment to inspect industrial assets, with strict adherence to safety, quality standards, and client specifications.

You will calibrate, interpret radiographs, and document findings while collaborating with NDT supervisors and QC teams to ensure project success and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated CR/DR systems or advanced NDT techniques.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation software.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and minor repairs.
• Proficiency with imaging software and analysis tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards and NDT codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CR and DR equipment to inspect welds, pipelines, and components.
• Set up and calibrate devices for accurate defect detection.
• Interpret radiographs to identify flaws per ASME/API/AWS.
• Prepare components for inspection and ensure proper exposure.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CR/DR systems and report issues.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Document results and generate quality reports.
• Collaborate with supervisors and QC teams to meet specs.
