Job summary

Vicinity Energy is seeking an Instrument and Controls Technician in Philadelphia, PA to maintain and troubleshoot controls systems including PLC, HMI, and SCADA/DCS. The role is full-time and non-exempt, reporting to the Electrical Supervisor.

Candidate will work as part of the IBEW Local 614 team in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or technical training and at least 3 years in industrial controls maintenance, with experience in Ovation, Wonderware, and Allen Bradley

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or technical training.
• Minimum 3 years of controls system maintenance in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• HMI troubleshooting and programming.
• SCADA & DCS controls systems troubleshooting and programming.
• Respond to equipment downtime issues to resolve quickly.
• Install and troubleshoot field wiring and instruments.
• Assist with mechanical repairs when required.
• Troubleshoot/repair PLC/HMI hardware and I/O and power supplies.
• Follow data and signals between controllers across networks.
• Read and interpret P&ID, control schematics, wiring drawings and I/O lists.
